“Green” Corporate Practices

Sustainability and reduction of environmental impact

The adoption of environmental sustainability policies is now a prerogative of every company. With a view to creating a company business model that is also environmentally friendly, CMS Meccanica Tonon has adopted virtuous practices aimed at diminishing environmental impact, reducing polluting emissions, using renewable energy sources, containing consumption, and carefully disposing of waste.

Tutto ciò è stato messo in pratica attraverso iniziative quali:

  • the installation of a 120 kW solar panel system across the entire roof of the factory;
  • the use of recyclable materials, such as adhesive tape made of paper material instead of plastic for packaging;
  • the adoption of low-energy LED lighting systems;
  • initiation of differentiated waste collection in production areas and offices.

Machinery with Technology 4.0

90% of the machine tools in CMS Meccanica Tonon’s factory are equipped with Technology 4.0, which allows all company processes to be improved and made more efficient. Thanks to the integration of intelligent digital technologies, 4.0 machines not only manage production, but also take care of data processing through process control and data analysis in an integrated manner throughout the company’s workflow.

The use of predictive analysis enables the identification and execution of optimal business processes: the ability to automate and control processes also decreases downtime and maintenance costs, while also improving the quality of the end product. The use of ‘smart’ machinery (i.e. machinery that is more intelligent, faster and more efficient) also allows consumption to be kept under constant control, reducing energy waste in line with the company’s sustainable policies.

Certification

One of CMS Meccanica Tonon’s main objectives is to always offer quality machining, guaranteed by the company’s UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 certification.

Furthermore, the certifications currently being validated are:

  • ISO 9100, the international quality management standard that applies to organisations active in the aerospace supply chain;
  • ISO 14001, the international standard for certification of environmental management systems.

Finally, CMS Meccanica Tonon has initiated a feasibility study for MOCA certification, which ensures legal compliance for materials that come into contact with food.
